Daniel Aizen, Ph.D. Student

Daniel Aizen received his B.Sc. in Chemistry from the Faculty of Chemistry (UDELAR) in Uruguay. He completed his M.Sc. degree in Pharmacy at the same University. He is currently a Ph.D. student in Prof. Haim Werner’s laboratory at the Department of Human Molecular Genetics & Biochemistry, Sackler School of Medicine, Tel Aviv University. His main field of interest is the investigation of the mechanisms of action and the biological pathways elicited by insulin analogues in endometrial cancer. Daniel is now working on the identification of novel genes that are preferentially activated by long-acting insulin analogues in comparison to regular insulin or IGF, with a particular emphasis on those genes that might have an impact on tumor metabolism behavior.
