
Dr. Ilan Bruchim is the Director of the Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology Division at Hillel Yaffe Medical Center, Hadera, and a Senior Investigator in the Department of Human Molecular Genetics and Biochemistry, Sackler School of Medicine, Tel Aviv University. Dr. Bruchim graduated from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, in 1996 and completed residency training at Tel Aviv University. He completed a Fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at McGill University, Montreal, Canada in 2006. His postgraduate research thesis dealt with the role of IGFs in ovarian cancer etiology. Upon completion of his fellowship he returned to Israel, where he served as the Head of the Gynecologic Oncology Service at Meir Medical Center, Kfar Saba, between 2006-2014. Dr. Bruchim is a Senior Lecturer at the Sackler School of Medicine. His research interests are focused on the development, assessment and validation of novel therapeutic strategies including molecular targeted therapies for gynecologic malignancies, mainly ovarian and endometrial cancer. Dr. Bruchim received many awards such as the Best Fellow Research Project (Quebec, 2006), Best Research Project of the Israel Society of Gynecologic Oncology (Tel Aviv, 2010), and an Award for Teaching Excellence at Tel Aviv University. He has been principal and co-author of numerous publications in major peer reviewed journals and he serves on the Editorial Board of several journals.
