Lina received her B.Sc. in Life Sciences from Tel Aviv University. She is currently studying toward her M.Sc. degree under the supervision of Prof. Haim Werner, Department of Human Molecular Genetics and Biochemistry. Her M.Sc. project focuses on the analysis of the mechanisms of action of the insulin-like growth factor-binding protein (IGFBP) in Laron syndrome patients, a syndrome of congenital IGF1 deficiency. Given the reported protection of Laron syndrome patients from cancer development, evaluation of the role of IGFBPs is of major translational importance.
